Elk Grove Village, IL
CH1 is being developed in two phases on 22.8 acres in Elk Grove Village, Cook County, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Cook County is one of the most populous counties in the nation. Retrofit development began in 2006. In the aggregate, CH1 will consist of approximately 485,000 gross square feet and more than 211,000 raised square feet, with a critical load of 36.4 MW. The first phase of this facility, or CH1 Phase I, was completed in July 2008 and is operational. This phase will comprise approximately 121,000 raised square feet with a critical load of 18.2 MW divided among 16 computer rooms. We have not yet finalized the development schedule for the second phase of this facility, or CH1 Phase II, which will consist of approximately 90,000 raised square feet, with a critical load of 18.2 MW.
